urgent legal and insurance company advice? uk only plz?

hi
well its a long story so bear with me
my dad is a taxi driver so he took out taxi insurance for £600 2 weeks ago. today we recieved the credit card statement and it says as well as the insurance company taking out the £600 they have also took out an extra £5800!!!
and when we rang them they do not answer and this was at 6 o clock in the evening.
so what do we do?
can we get our money back?
can i sue them?
omg my dad does not even make £5000 a year! how can we pay this?
plz help

hey i contacted the credit card company and said there is nothing they can do and only the insurance company can refund us

  1. Is this related to the Taxi company in Dunbridge Street E1?
    If so the local Police Financial Investigation unit would be interested.

    Try also Consumer Direct 08454 04 05 06 or your local trading standards

  2. don’t stress it. ring you credit card company again and tell them that the £5800.00 was a payment that was not authorised by yourselves. then tomorrow, ring the insurers and tell them that they have made a mistake and they need to rectify it.
